Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Plant Controller in acting as a financial advisor to plant management providing financial reports, analysis and planning, budget control, accounting methods and profit/loss reporting.
- Support the tasks of payroll process from compensation and deduction changes to processing of newly hired and terminated colleagues.
- Oversee the accurate, complete, and timely preparation of monthly accounts reconciliations in compliance with company policy and statutory requirements such as (but not limited to):

- General Ledger maintenance
- Journal entries
- Accruals
- Master data review
- Internal Controls
- OneStream Submission
- GVAT Reporting
- Variance analysis
- Assist the Plant Controller with weekly flash reporting.
- Assist the Plant Controller to improve the internal control according, define action plans and follow up the implementation to ensure the control is in place.
- Manage Quarterly and Annual reporting requirements per corporate timetable.
- Assist with internal audits and external audits and ensure open audit issues are resolved.
- Responsible for the timely completion and managing of monthly forecasts.
- Assist the Plant Controller in annual preparation of the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Planning
- Preparation of monthly value stream income statements and relevant reporting requirements
- Takes initiative to search for and recommend changes and improvements to systems, productivity measures.
- Monitors preparation of government reporting
- Manages reporting of productivity improvements for the plant in Wave System.
- Coordinates plant staff activities so plant capabilities and customer needs are met for maximum mutual benefit.
- SOX reporting and testing
- Assists the Plant Controller in implementing policy and procedure changes as required following accepted US GAAP
Education
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience
- Certified Public Accountant designation is a plus.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in similar position in a cost accounting/finance position, within a manufacturing environment; preferably in automotive.
- Previous experience with payroll processing required.

- Proficient with Plex ERP system or other major ERP systems such as SAP/QAD/Oracle/JD Edwards.
- Experience analyzing large volume of data using Microsoft suite.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple and competing requests and priorities.
