We're hiring a fully remote Database Administrator to provide emerging Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DON) information technology. We design, develop, engineer, and maintain systems that will improve customer organizational efficiency. Due to the nature of the role, only U.S. Citizens may be considered.

Role and Responsibilities:

Our Database Administrator will design, develop, support, and maintain the organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen

Clearance: Secret

Minimum Years of Experience: (6+ years)

BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science. Alternate to college degree, candidates can have a minimum of 12 years' experience.

DoD 8570 IAT Level II, - Must have, or obtain within 4 months, at least one of the following: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate Security), CySA+ (CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst), GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional), GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification), CompTIA Security+ CE, CND (Certified Network Defender), or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)

Review previous documents and prepares up-to-date documents/modes/reports to meet consumer requests.

Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues.

Provide technical direction to IT support staff.

Ensure constant availability of technical resources and perform end-user support.

Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety.

Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry service in SAP / ERP, or Database Administration, or Oracle Discoverer, or MS SharePoint, or Business Objects, to include operations or configuration / administration, and/or reporting.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

Prior Navy related experience preferred

Certified Level 1,2, or 3 Appian Developer

Experience working with Appian Tempo and sites

Java development

Software development project experience in a federal government setting

Agile Framework experience

Experience defining and documenting architecture for technology implementations

Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations

Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements

Excellent analytical and technical skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation

Must be able to work with users to gather and refine requirements
