Purpose:

The Worley Community is looking to add a Structural Graduate Engineer to join our team in delivering offshore engineering solutions and services in the Gulf of Mexico. Our diverse portfolio of projects encompasses the whole cycle of offshore brownfield projects from planning/conceptual design, to detailed design, construction, and operation.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the design of brownfield projects with the support of a team of seasoned engineers and technical experts.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the delivery of structural engineering services that meet Worley's, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Perform structural engineering services such as:
    • Studies, analyses and provide recommend actions/solutions.
    • review existing reports/available data.
    • detail designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and report.
    • propose solutions to install/remove equipment with no crane access.
    • perform structural analysis utilizing the SACS (analysis types include In- place, loadout, transportation, installation) and develop local calculations to support the design.
  • Communicate effectively with the structural engineering team and project stakeholders.
  • Perform occasional site visit, if required.

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Some knowledge of technical and practical structural engineering skills.
  • Some knowledge of the fundamental requirements of structural engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
  • Developing skills in structural engineering specific software.
  • Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

Preferred:

  • E.I. Certification or ability to obtain by May 2024.
  • Ability to pass HUET Training.
  • Ability to meet credentials to travel offshore (if required).
  • Possess or ability to obtain TWIC card.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills required.
  • Work in the Metairie office a minimum of 4 days/week.
