Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Manager to lead and manage our DevOps team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, software development, and project management, with a deep understanding of DevOps principles and practices. The IT Technical Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, and fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their professional growth.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the team, aligning them with the organization's strategic initiatives.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Project Management:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop and execute project plans, ensuring timely delivery of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Regularly communicate project status, updates, and key metrics to stakeholders.

Technical Expertise:

  • Possess a strong understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and tools.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and software development.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team, assisting with troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously assess and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the DevOps team's processes and workflows.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline operations and improve productivity.
  • Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices, tools, and methodologies across the organization.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including software development teams, infrastructure teams, and business leaders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of activities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, highlighting team achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in IT infrastructure management, software development, and project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and tools (e.g., CI/CD, automation, containerization, orchestration).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile project management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified ScrumMaster) would be an advantage.
