Sentara Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time remote Request for Proposal Specialist for Sentara Health Plans Virginia Beach.

For those located in Washington State, the following salary range applies: $60,649.68 - $90,985.44

Job Description Summary

This position is on the RFP/Proposal Team in the Communications department. This individual will be responsible for developing and delivering quality, compelling proposals in collaboration with Sales team members and subject matter experts throughout the organization.
This individual will focus on understanding and representing the health plan, including the company's mission and vision, community presence, core products and services, and continuous advancements.
In addition to the skills in the job listing, the ideal candidate will be a strong writer, proofreader, critical thinker; be detail-oriented, resourceful, and collaborative; and be capable of working under strict deadlines.

Responsible for the development and implementation of standard communications plans/proposals that build the Sentara Health Plans image and support the company's strategic goals. The individual is responsible for writing (technical and creative), proofing, managing expenses, and editing printed and electronic communications prior to distribution to key audiences (health plan members, benefits administrators, brokers, employers, and physicians). Maintains positive and professional relationship with Sales, Compliance, Digital Innovations, and all interfacing Departments. Responsible for translating Sentara Health Plans business strategies into communications. This is a mid-level role responsible for effective communication planning and/or proposal development.

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration/Management, Marketing, Mass Communications, Public Relations, or English

Job Requirements:

Required: Related experience - 4 years

Required: Proposal experience

Preferred: Healthcare experience - 1 Year

Job Summary

Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing, public relations and communications projects and events that build Sentara Health Plans' image and support the company's strategic and marketing goals. Direct interaction with vendors and brokers and GA's to foster and build relationships.

4 years of Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Communications or related field OR 2 years of internal company experience required. 1 year Healthcare experience preferred.
