Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Executive Director, Business Operations-Velocity Urgent Care

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: Velocity Administrative Office in Williamsburg, VA

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET). Up to 50% travel is required. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Position Summary:

The Executive Director, Business Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operational activity in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient, standardized operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations for 17+ urgent care centers.
  • Develop and lead a high performing team focused on patient engagement and satisfaction; clinical quality; client relationships, satisfaction, and retention; teammate selection, engagement, and retention; and financial performance including P&L responsibility.
  • Execute the strategic plan for the organization's operations division.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations workflows and systems.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
  • Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
  • Promote a culture of service excellence and patient satisfaction as measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS) surveys and client feedback.
  • Partner with the Executive Director, Medical Operations to ensure the quality of care and best clinical practices.
  • Present periodic performance reports and metrics to the Vice President, Urgent Care Operations, and the Leadership team.
  • Identify training needs and ensure proper training is developed and provided.
  • Lead by example and promote compliance with Sentara Health policies and procedures in addition to all pertinent local, state, and national regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration.
  • At least five (5) years of senior leadership experience in the management of multi-site urgent care centers, physician practices, or diagnostic centers.

Qualifications:

  • Management philosophies that align with the Velocity/Sentara mission and values.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work effectively under stress, meet short deadlines and take direction.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion and tact.
  • Prior experience leading through significant change is highly preferred.
