Position Highlights | The ML4AI Lab in the School of Information seeks a postdoctoral research associate to conduct research developing methods for generating novel 3D graphical assets for use in realistic 3D simulations. The postdoc will be expected to write papers for publication in top-tier conferences. This position involves working closely with internal and external collaborators, and thus requires strong written and oral communication skills. Duties & Responsibilities | 1. Develop models for generating novel, high quality 3D graphical assets for use in realistic 3D simulations. The models developed are expected to extend state of the art approaches to generative modeling, including geometric graphical neural networks, diffusion networks, and integration with language models. Duties will include: (1) Design and implementation of the models; (2) Gathering and preparing data (including images and 3D models) used for training and evaluation; (3) Evaluation of the developed models; (4) Write papers to submit to top-tier conferences; (5)Attend weekly research group meetings; (6) Assist in supervising students on the team. 2. Active participation in the broader RealSim project, including working closely with a local private company.
