Overview

LMI seeks a mid-level business process reengineering consultant with experience in facility and infrastructure engineering, sensor technology installation and operations, and shipyard operations. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our clients achieve their missions. As part of our high-performing team, you will be responsible for developing new shipyard procedures to optimize new technology installations while considering legacy infrastructure and information constraints. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and a Common Access Card. Active security clearance desired. Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities
    Conduct business process reviews and develop to-be processes leveraging new technology systems
  • Conduct site design reviews and recommend alternatives
  • Provide detailed analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements, optimizations, and enhancements to current business processes given new technology capabilities and site-specific constraints
  • Collect and analyze data to inform recommended solutions
  • Conduct site surveys and walk-throughs
  • Recommend infrastructure enhancements required for successful system implementation
  • Conduct status updates with stakeholders
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Proven experience designing operational procedures
  • Prove experience providing strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to site-specific process owners
  • Familiarity with shipyard infrastructure and RFID technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both oral and written, with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems.
  • Experience handling multiple, demanding, and complex tasks in a timely manner with accurate results
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Naval shipyard operations
  • Experience in industrial operations
  • Experience with RFID readers and their operation.
