Position Description

Job Title: Remote Sensing Electro-Optical Engineer

Duties: * Analyze optical sensor system for performance and image quality calculations.* Develop optical sensor system specifications to meet customer specifications. * Effectively work with senior optical engineers as part of a team to analyze and develop optical systems.* Duties will include documentation of work and occasional presentations before management, colleagues and customers.
Qualifications: * BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related discipline; a Masters or Doctoral degree is preferred. 8 years experience or combinatin of education and experience in optical engineering and design, focal plane arrays, Fourier analysis, calibration and/or optical fabrication. Familiarity with radiative transport is desirable, but not essential.* Ability to work independently, as well as within team/government customer contexts. * Excellent computer proficiency, including familiarity with scientific/engineering programming languages (e.g., C, Java, Matlab, IDL) . Experience with the development and maintenance of large computing enterprises is desirable.* Current Top Secret/SSBI, or the ability to obtain one, is required.
