Overview:

WSI is seeking a full-time Carpenter to work at the Defense Intelligence Center located in Washington, DC. WSI offers competitive pay and excellent union benefits. WSI is an Equal Opportunity, M/F/D/V Employer.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing a variety of carpentry duties as required. Carpentry services include but are not limited to the design, construction, installation, and repair of wood fixtures and structures such as cabinets, furniture, shelving, doors, plaques, and other custom wooden objects. Other duties include framing and finish work, painting, staining, etc. The position also handles sub and client management, jobsite troubleshooting, performs primary layout and carpentry production. Prepares work order tickets to confirm completion of each work assignment detailing time and materials used for each job and a description of the work performed. Prepares purchase request forms for the site- supervisor for all materials needed to complete jobs. Answers to emergency after-hours emergency calls from Facilities Manager / site site-supervisor.
